Python & Django Software Engineer – Manager

About the role

PwC’s Software and Product Innovation team is seeking a Python & Django Software Engineer‑Manager to lead the design, development and delivery of cutting‑edge applications that drive digital transformation for our clients. In this hybrid technical‑leadership role you will combine hands‑on coding with people‑management to ensure high‑quality solutions and a motivated team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test Python/Django applications using modern development practices.
• Own project planning, budgeting, execution and delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Coach, mentor and evaluate team members, leveraging their strengths and fostering continuous learning.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align technical solutions with business objectives and client expectations.
• Address conflicts, conduct difficult conversations with stakeholders and uphold PwC’s professional standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on Python and Django.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical teams, including performance management and mentorship.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with the capacity to view systems holistically.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to PwC’s values of integrity and authenticity.
