Quality Assurance Engineer – QHSE Specialist

About the role

Intertrade Co. seeks a motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to support Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) activities across its manufacturing operations. The role will drive ISO system implementation, audit preparation, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure factory compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Support preparation and implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems.
• Prepare for and assist with external, certification, and customer audits.
• Attend customer audits, close observations, and develop corrective action plans.
• Create, update, and improve SOPs, work instructions, checklists, forms, and QHSE documentation.
• Monitor SOP compliance across production and operational departments.
• Conduct incoming, in‑process, and final quality inspections.
• Follow up on non‑conformities (NCRs), corrective actions (CAPA), and customer complaints.
• Perform routine safety inspections, risk assessments, and ensure proper PPE usage.
• Monitor unsafe acts, near‑misses, and safety violations; participate in incident investigations.
• Support emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and safety awareness initiatives.
• Prepare quality, safety, environmental, and operational reports.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects, focusing on waste and defect reduction.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to improve operational performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Industrial Engineering, Quality or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of quality systems and HSE practices.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficient English language skills.

Required skills

• Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards.
• Experience with CAPA processes and audit procedures.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
• ISO Internal Auditor certification (preferred).
• OSHA / NEBOSH certification (preferred).
