Quality Control Team Leader

About the role

The Quality Control Team Leader oversees QC operations during each shift, ensuring that raw materials and finished products meet all quality, regulatory and customer standards. The role combines hands‑on inspections, testing, data analysis and team leadership to drive continuous improvement and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the QC team throughout the shift, providing training, mentoring and ensuring timely completion of inspections and tests.
• Conduct in‑line and final product inspections, including sensory, chemical and microbiological analyses.
• Verify raw material compliance before production and monitor process control reports for deviations.
• Document inspection results, test outcomes and corrective actions in accurate shift records.
• Escalate non‑conformities to the Quality Control Manager and coordinate prompt corrective actions with production and maintenance.
• Analyse inspection data to identify trends, suggest process adjustments and support sustainability goals.
• Prepare detailed shift reports summarising quality metrics, deviations and improvement suggestions.

• Proven ability to lead and motivate a QC team in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to act quickly on quality deviations.
• Effective communication and collaboration with production, continuous improvement and maintenance teams.
