Quantity Surveyor Engineer – Cairo

About the role

AMG Al Amar Consulting Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join its Cairo office. The role focuses on preparing, reviewing and updating quantity take‑offs, cost estimates and bills of quantities for both ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring accurate cost documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse drawings, specifications and contractual documents to produce precise quantity take‑offs.
• Develop cost estimates and detailed bills of quantities for tender and construction phases.
• Coordinate with design, site and project management teams to monitor project costs and variations.
• Support tender preparation, evaluation and contract administration, including variation and claims management.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain up‑to‑date cost records to aid decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or QS Engineer in consulting or construction environments.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness and ability to work on‑site in Cairo and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
