Quantity Surveyor Engineer – Construction Cost Management

About the role
The Quantity Surveyor Engineer will manage all cost aspects of construction and engineering projects, ensuring budgets are adhered to and financial targets are met. You will work closely with project managers, consultants and site engineers to deliver accurate cost estimates and control variations throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Develop cost estimates, cost plans and project budgets.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents.
- Participate in tendering processes, including cost comparison and evaluation.
- Monitor project costs, control variations and manage claims.
- Prepare interim payment certificates and final accounts.
- Analyse subcontractor quotations and negotiate prices when required.
- Track project progress and report cost deviations.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and company cost‑control procedures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and collaborate within a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Experience with quantity take‑off tools.
