Real Estate Head – North Africa & Levant

About the role

The Real Estate Head for North Africa & Levant will lead the regional real‑estate function, overseeing asset management, portfolio performance and life‑and‑safety programmes across multiple countries. Reporting to senior corporate leadership, the role combines strategic planning, operational execution and full P&L responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Select and implement best‑practice real‑estate processes and control subcontractors on a regional scale.
• Implement and coordinate the national Life & Safety programme in partnership with local units.
• Supervise Country Life & Safety coordinators and ensure compliance with corporate and local construction, fire, sanitary and occupancy standards.
• Plan, develop and execute strategies to maximise asset value and ensure functional, safe work environments.
• Hold full P&L responsibility for the portfolio and manage budgeting, forecasting and cost‑control.
• Act as primary liaison with internal business units and external tenants for occupancy, project development, renovation, space planning and disposition of surplus property.
• Lead project management activities to deliver projects on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Recommend and execute real‑estate transactions to improve cost‑effectiveness and space utilisation.
• Oversee the service desk as a single point of contact for internal and external requests, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, safety and environmental requirements to protect and enhance property value.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in real‑estate management, preferably at a regional or multi‑country level.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage P&L, budgeting and policy formulation.
• Excellent communication and diplomacy skills to influence internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Proven leadership experience with full‑cycle people management (hiring, performance evaluation, compensation, disciplinary actions).
• Ability to plan resources, coordinate short‑term planning and drive strategic initiatives.
