Reception Engineer / Service Advisor

About the role

Al Shal Automotive is seeking a Reception Engineer (Service Advisor) to be the first point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for service. You will welcome clients, capture their service needs, and ensure a smooth hand‑over to the workshop team while maintaining high standards of communication and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers and inspect vehicles upon arrival.
• Listen to customer concerns, document service requests accurately, and open repair orders in the service management system.
• Explain maintenance and repair recommendations, costs, and estimated completion times.
• Coordinate with workshop technicians to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
• Follow up on repair progress, keep customers informed, and conduct final vehicle hand‑over.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Promote additional maintenance services when appropriate.
• Address inquiries and resolve complaints professionally to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Reception Engineer, Service Advisor, or similar role in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple customers and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good command of English is preferred.
