Refrigeration Section Head

About the role

The Refrigeration Section Head will lead all refrigeration and HVAC maintenance activities to ensure the reliability of cold storage, blast freezers, and climate‑control systems that preserve French fry quality for export. This senior position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Refrigeration Engineers, Supervisors, and Technicians, planning and allocating work orders.
• Oversee maintenance of ammonia or Freon refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and control panels.
• Maintain cold stores within the required temperature range of –20 °C to +4 °C.
• Provide technical expertise for complex breakdowns and lead root‑cause analysis for major failures affecting the export cold chain.
• Enforce strict safety procedures for ammonia handling, including gas detection systems and emergency protocols.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian regulations for pressure vessels and refrigerants.
• Identify and implement energy‑optimization measures across the refrigeration network.
