Regional Finance Officer – Cairo

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a finance professional based in Cairo to support its Africa region. The role will focus on financial reporting, compliance and business partnering, ensuring that all regulatory and tax obligations are met while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager in meeting all financial and tax compliance requirements on time.
• Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities across the region.
• Support the annual budgeting cycle and monitor performance against budget.
• Drive process improvements in accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue accounting and general ledger using technology.
• Provide financial guidance to department heads and senior managers.
• Develop and track financial and operational KPIs.
• Participate in projects aimed at enhancing business processes and efficiencies.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field (minimum).
• 4+ years of post‑graduation finance experience, preferably as a senior accountant.
• Experience in finance and tax within the North Africa region (at least 1 year).
• Chartered Accountant or Management Accounting qualification (or pursuing).
• Strong communication skills across all stakeholder levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using Power BI for reporting and analysis.
