About the role

The Remedial Assistant Manager will support the credit risk function within Mashreq Corporate & Investment Banking Group, focusing on identifying problem loans and ensuring appropriate provisioning to protect the bank’s profitability.

Key responsibilities

Raise to management credit assets that may need to be moved to classified status to minimize loan provisioning.
Identify problem lending situations and recommend corrective actions to reduce losses and maximize recoveries.
Make recommendations for provisions as required and ensure they are properly reported in the division’s P&L.
Perform risk assessments, analyze current risks and identify potential new risks affecting the company.
Ensure appropriate credit risk ratings and restructuring packages are assigned to borrowers and communicated to stakeholders.

Required profile

At least 1 month of relevant experience in credit risk, loan provisioning, or related banking functions.
