Remote Physics Educator (Short‑term Contract)

About the role
We are seeking a remote Physics Educator to work on a short‑term contract designing and solving challenging physics problems for large language model evaluation. The role starts immediately and runs for 11 weeks.
Key responsibilities
- Design and solve advanced physics problems to assess LLM performance.
- Create clear, step‑by‑step solutions with detailed reasoning and visual explanations.
- Collaborate with LLM researchers to develop and refine evaluation benchmarks.
- Help define new benchmarks covering undergraduate to PhD‑level physics.
- Analyze complex physics questions using a logical, structured approach.
Required profile
- Master’s, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical abilities with creative, lateral thinking.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fully remote environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: QuTiP, OQuPy, QuSpin, TenPy, Strawberry Fields, openEMS, ngspice, Quantum ESPRESSO, OpenFOAM, FEniCS/FEniCSx (DOLFINx), WarpX, REBOUND, PYTHIA, Kwant, Elmer FEM, GF180MCU PDK, Sky130 PDK, FreeCAD, Project Chrono, Scilab Xcos, volare, emcee, Icarus Verilog, GTKWave, Verilator, gmsh, pyarmadillo, MeshLab.
