Research Quality Specialist – Computational Math (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical individual with a strong research background to join our team as a Research Quality Specialist in Computational Mathematics. This short‑term, task‑based contract involves creating and solving graduate‑level scientific problems using Python, with immediate start and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop original graduate‑level or research‑grade scientific problems that require scientific coding in Python.
• Define problem categories, assign secondary tags, and set appropriate difficulty levels.
• Solve the formulated problems ensuring logical consistency, reliability, and accuracy.
• Participate in a two‑tier quality review process for both problems and solutions.
• Collaborate closely with reviewers and project leads to refine content quality and improve evaluation standards.

Required profile

• PhD holder or PhD candidate in Computational Mathematics (preferably Numerical Linear Algebra or Computational Mechanics).
• At least one peer‑reviewed research publication.
• Strong analytical reasoning, logical thinking, and advanced problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical documentation.
• Active LinkedIn profile (mandatory).

Required skills

• Python programming for scientific computing.
• Numerical Linear Algebra.
• Computational Mechanics (preferred).
