Restaurant Equipment Technician

About the role

The Restaurant Equipment Technician will join Innovative Foods Egypt’s fast‑growing quick‑service restaurant brand in Cairo. Working full‑time on‑site, you will ensure that all kitchen machinery, refrigeration units and related systems operate safely and efficiently, supporting the delivery of high‑quality shawarma to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and basic repairs on kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, diagnose faults and restore equipment functionality.
• Coordinate with suppliers or external service providers for specialised repairs or parts.
• Document all maintenance activities in accordance with company standards and health‑safety regulations.
• Assist with the installation, commissioning and testing of new kitchen equipment.
• Participate in training sessions on proper equipment use and maintenance procedures.

Required profile

• Technical diploma, vocational training or proven experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance, preferably in food‑service or production environments.
• Basic knowledge of food‑service safety, hygiene and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams and maintenance procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude, attention to detail and good teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and extended hours as needed.
