Retail Sales Assistant

About the role

The Retail Sales Assistant will engage customers at IKEA’s Mall of Arabia store, helping them find the right products and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. This role focuses on delivering high‑level customer service while supporting stock management and merchandising standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the sales floor daily to verify price labels, product tags and other communication media are correctly displayed.
• Monitor stock levels in the assigned area and recommend replenishment orders to the shopkeeper.
• Coordinate with the Procurement Executive for stock‑related information.
• Engage customers with empathy, gather feedback, and act on their needs to enhance satisfaction.
• Prepare pro‑forma invoices based on customer requirements.
• Inform customers about new arrivals, follow up on quotations and convert enquiries into sales.
• Identify sales opportunities, suggest alternative solutions and promote add‑on items to meet targets.
• Provide suggestions to improve sales performance and address slow‑moving products.
