Room Service Mini Bar Attendant

About the role

Kempinski is hiring a Room Service Mini Bar Attendant in Cairo, Egypt, in its Food & Beverage department. The role covers serving food and beverages to guests in the assigned outlet, stocking minibars in hotel rooms and suites, and providing courteous, professional and efficient service that encourages sales and maximises guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Serve all minibars in hotel rooms and suites, and stock minibar items regularly
• Keep accurate accounts of minibar items and consumption, posted in the guest folio
• Check expiry dates and product quality and appearance regularly, and correct service procedures
• Perform opening and closing procedures, assist with scheduled inventories and monitor operating supplies to reduce spoilage and wastage
• Provide a courteous, professional service, explain and upsell items and offer alternatives
• Operate the POS system, handle guest enquiries and report guest complaints and feedback to supervisors
• Follow hotel policies on fire, hygiene, health and safety, attend staff meetings and trainings, and carry out reasonable additional duties

Required profile

• Egyptian nationality
• High school or university graduate
• One year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a 5-star hotel
• Excellent spoken and written English
