Science Teacher

About the role

Newcastle International School Egypt is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Science Teacher for its campus in Qesm 2nd 6 October. The successful candidate will plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and standards, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans covering core scientific concepts, particularly Physics and related disciplines.
• Teach classes, assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment and manage behaviour positively.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, communicate with families as needed, and participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• Contribute to school events and activities.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in Science Education with the ability to teach core scientific concepts clearly and accurately.
• Subject knowledge in Physics and strong Mathematics skills.
• Qualified Teacher status with relevant teaching certification and classroom experience.
• Demonstrated strength in lesson planning, including structuring units, setting objectives and differentiating instruction.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science Education, Physics, or a related field.
• Effective classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills with a student‑centered approach.
• Experience in international or multicultural school settings is an advantage.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues and school leadership.
