Security Compliance & Accreditation Head Consultant

About the role

The Security Compliance & Accreditation Head Consultant will lead the development and execution of strategies to ensure the organisation meets security standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations. This senior position combines technical oversight with strategic leadership to protect information assets and maintain compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement compliance strategies aligned with security standards, regulations and audit requirements.
• Oversee incident response planning, investigate security breaches and support related disciplinary or legal actions.
• Evaluate emerging security products and technologies for suitability.
• Coordinate remediation activities following information security audit findings.
• Conduct initial and periodic privacy risk assessments and maintain ongoing compliance monitoring.
• Create mechanisms to track access to protected information and generate reports for authorized personnel.
• Review system‑related security plans to ensure alignment with organisational security and privacy practices.
• Provide strategic leadership, team development, compliance reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technology field.
• 10+ years of IT experience with a focus on security and compliance.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience in IT governance, risk and compliance management.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CEH).
• Strong knowledge of information security frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
