Security Governance & Control Section Head

About the role

The Security Governance & Control Section Head will lead the development and execution of an integrated risk management framework across the organisation. This senior position ensures that information, cyber‑security and compliance risks are identified, assessed, communicated and mitigated in line with professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated risk management framework, policies, standards and procedures.
• Maintain the integrated risk register, risk appetite, indicators and reporting mechanisms.
• Lead the integrated risk assessment process and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Monitor risk profiles, evaluate control effectiveness and drive corrective actions.
• Provide risk advisory services to business units and embed risk management into processes.
• Define and oversee the organisation’s information security strategy.
• Promote a strong risk culture through awareness programs and training.
• Manage and develop the integrated risk management team, ensuring required competencies and certifications.
• Develop policies and controls aligned with recognised standards and frameworks.
• Oversee the delivery of a company‑wide security awareness program.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in information risk management, cybersecurity or compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of leading integrated risk management initiatives in fast‑paced environments.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently and collaboratively.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or CRISC are preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP frameworks.
• Experience with GRC platforms, risk dashboards and risk analytics tools.
• Familiarity with integrated risk assessment methodologies.
