Security Operations Analyst

About the role

We are partnering with leading AI research labs to create security‑aware AI systems. As a Security Operations Analyst you will bring your SOC expertise to shape how AI detects, reasons about, and responds to real‑world cyber threats. This remote, hourly contract role lets you influence AI behavior while working on flexible, task‑based assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze realistic SOC scenarios—including alerts, incidents, and investigations—and document your reasoning process.
• Classify severity, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions.
• Review AI‑generated detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and realism.
• Validate AI outputs to ensure they reflect the thinking of experienced analysts.
• Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI behavior in security contexts.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations environment.
• Hands‑on familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert triage, and investigation workflows.
• Strong ability to distinguish true threats from background noise and false positives.
• Clear written communication skills to explain reasoning and conclusions.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently on task‑based assignments.
