Senior Accountant – Finance & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead our accounting operations in Egypt. The role involves supervising data entry, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and delivering insightful financial reports to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor data entry for all account ledgers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee stock‑take record entry and verification to maintain precise inventory accounting.
• Manage fixed‑asset classification, recording, and depreciation schedules.
• Review purchasing documentation for compliance with Egyptian law and internal policies.
• Conduct internal expense audits and ensure adherence to approval processes.
• Coordinate scrapping processes with the Material Manager in line with regulations.
• Prepare and develop financial reports with analysis for management decision‑making.
• Mentor the preparation of bank, AP and AR reconciliations.
• Oversee payment processing, including bank transfers and cheques.
• Provide analytical data and documentation to regulatory authorities as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 4‑6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/Egyptian Accounting Standards and all core accounting functions.
• Leadership, analytical thinking, attention to detail and effective communication skills.
