Senior Accountant – Finance Shared Services

About the role

The Senior Accountant will join the Finance Shared Service Center and play a pivotal role in delivering accurate statutory financial reporting, maintaining SAP data integrity, and supporting audit and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Extract and prepare trial balances from SAP, map them to financial statement line items, and produce full statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS, local GAAP and internal policies.
• Maintain SAP financial data integrity, reconcile SAP outputs with the general ledger and sub‑ledgers, and provide clear documentation for auditors.
• Design, execute and enhance monthly general‑ledger reconciliations, identify control gaps and communicate findings to business‑unit finance teams.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including re‑classifications, cost allocations and data submission for group consolidation via the BPC tool.
• Review intercompany and related‑party balances, resolve mismatches and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in statutory financial reporting and preparation of balance sheets, income statements and cash‑flow statements.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and Al‑Futtaim Group accounting policies.
• Hands‑on experience coordinating with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Ability to analyse large data sets, identify risks and propose actionable improvements.
