Senior Accountant – Logistics

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead daily accounting activities for the Al Fayyum logistics site of DP World. Reporting to finance management, you will ensure accurate financial records, compliance with standards, and support of the site’s operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all daily accounting operations, including journal entry review and reconciliations.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes to deliver timely financial statements.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger transactions.
• Prepare and review management reports and financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit cycles.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
• Manage the full fixed‑asset lifecycle and monthly depreciation schedules.
• Handle treasury payments, collections, and cash‑flow management.
• Track client collections and government‑related payments ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Control transportation department expenses against approved budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with an Accounting major.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in logistics or similar environments.
• Strong leadership, attention to detail, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
