Senior Associate Android Developer (Kotlin)

About the role

PwC's Advisory practice in Cairo is hiring a Senior Associate Android Developer. You will design, develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and modern frameworks, delivering secure, scalable and high-performing solutions through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android apps with Kotlin, Jetpack and modern frameworks such as Compose and Architecture Components
• Apply clean, scalable architecture patterns (MVVM, modular components)
• Ensure secure coding practices (EncryptedSharedPreferences, SSL pinning, certificate rotation)
• Optimize performance and memory using Android Profiler and LeakCanary
• Integrate APIs and handle networking and offline scenarios (Retrofit, gRPC, caching, WorkManager)
• Write unit, UI and snapshot tests and contribute to the test automation strategy
• Take part in CI/CD workflows (Gradle, Fastlane, Azure DevOps/Jenkins)
• Translate requirements into technical solutions, support code reviews and maintain coding standards

Required profile

• 4-6+ years of Android development experience in enterprise or regulated environments
• Experience with dependency management (Gradle, Maven)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and app distribution via MDM solutions such as Intune or Workspace ONE
• Solid understanding of secure coding and app hardening
• Strong problem-solving skills, agile teamwork and excellent communication
