Senior Associate Frontend Engineer (React)

About the role

PwC's Advisory practice in Cairo is looking for a Senior Associate Frontend Engineer (React) to own the design and delivery of scalable, high-quality web applications. You will contribute to frontend architecture decisions, lead feature delivery and ensure engineering excellence across the development lifecycle, working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of frontend features, from requirement clarification and design alignment through development, testing and deployment.
• Design, build and maintain scalable, performant and maintainable React applications.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and design decisions, including component structure, state management strategy and scalability.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend engineers and product stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing and adherence to best practices.
• Optimize applications for performance, accessibility and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Lead and mentor junior developers, and contribute to CI/CD processes and releases.
• Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and improve engineering practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional frontend development experience, with demonstrated ownership of feature delivery.
• Ability to deliver in agile, fast-paced environments.
• Preferred: experience in client-facing or consulting environments.

Required skills

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Deep React expertise (Hooks, Context API, modern patterns).
• State management (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query) and RESTful API integration.
• Git, CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress.
• Preferred: Next.js, SSR, micro-frontends, WCAG accessibility, Azure/AWS and Docker.
