Senior Associate – Resource Manager Operations

About the role

The Resource Management Operations team at PwC delivers end‑to‑end analytics solutions, focusing on people‑data and other internal domains. As a Senior Associate you will concentrate on back‑end data engineering and data‑model design, building and operating production‑grade pipelines in Databricks. The role emphasizes quality, reusability and long‑term sustainability of data assets.

Key responsibilities

• Stakeholder management, communication and organization.
• Design and evolve data models and pipeline architectures that support analytics and reporting use cases.
• Build and maintain production‑grade data pipelines in Databricks using PySpark and Spark SQL.
• Investigate data defects or failures, perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Translate problem statements and reporting needs into well‑structured data solutions with minimal guidance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and business stakeholders to clarify data requirements from a modeling and engineering perspective.
• Champion consistent, well‑designed data models that enable reliable downstream analytics and reduce duplication.
• Contribute to shared engineering standards through code reviews, reusable utilities and common design patterns.
• Produce clear code‑level documentation and contribute to shared technical documentation for knowledge transfer.
• Manage code in Git‑based version‑controlled environments.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in resource‑management data engineering using Databricks, PySpark and Spark SQL.
• Proven ability to design and evolve data models and production pipelines supporting analytics and reporting.
• Experience investigating data defects, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to clarify data requirements and champion consistent data models.
• Experience contributing to engineering standards, conducting code reviews, documenting solutions and managing code in Git.
