Senior Backend Developer – PHP/Laravel

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend services that power our applications. You will work with a cross‑functional team in a hybrid environment based in El Maadi, Cairo.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Build, optimize, and document RESTful APIs and third‑party integrations.
• Ensure applications are secure, scalable, and performant.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and designers.
• Write clean, well‑documented, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel.
• Solid understanding of relational database design (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with caching, queues, and background job processing.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
