Senior Backend Engineer (Egypt)

About the role

Kyra is an enterprise influencer‑marketing platform that powers creator discovery, campaign management, content review, payments, analytics and AI‑driven insights across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. We are looking for a senior backend engineer to own end‑to‑end feature delivery on a high‑scale platform that processes millions of creator data points.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain domain modules in a DDD‑style Node.js/TypeScript monorepo.
• Translate vague product ideas into concrete specifications and ship the first version.
• Design REST APIs, write documentation, and manage relational database schemas and migrations.
• Develop features for both the transactional backend and a separate analytics backend handling heavy aggregate queries.
• Integrate services with TikTok, Instagram and YouTube APIs.
• Implement queue‑based background job processing for media analysis, outreach and data syncing.
• Deploy your services to cloud infrastructure, write safe migrations and monitor production health.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents related to your code.

Required profile

• 6+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript in production.
• Product mindset – able to work from minimal briefs, make decisions and iterate after release.
• Strong relational‑database expertise: schema design, query optimisation and safe large‑scale migrations.
• Comfortable deploying and operating services on a major cloud provider (containers, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience with queue‑based background processing patterns.
• Proficiency in REST API design, documentation and mature Git workflows.
