Senior Cloud & IoT Architect – Advisory (Senior Manager)

About the role

As a Senior Cloud & IoT Architect you will define and govern the cloud architecture for a digital banking platform, ensuring secure, scalable and resilient solutions across AWS and Azure. You will collaborate with engineering, DevOps, security and data teams to deliver infrastructure that supports rapid delivery, operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical liaison, leading steering calls between client stakeholders and service providers and translating technical proposals into actionable items.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the production IoT infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance and incident resolution.
• Implement cloud governance policies, enforce resource tagging, decommission unused services and drive cost‑optimization through FinOps discussions.
• Oversee cloud security, monitor findings, ensure compliance with security controls and continuously improve the platform’s security posture.
• Generate and present regular reports on infrastructure costs, security status and operational performance to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture or engineering, preferably in regulated environments.
• Proven technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on scalability, resilience and operational efficiency.

Required skills

• AWS cloud platform (compute, storage, networking, IAM, security).
• Azure cloud platform (core services).
• Containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools: Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation.
• CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Cloud security, monitoring and compliance frameworks.
