Senior Credit Specialist

About the role

As a Senior Credit Specialist based in Cairo, you will safeguard L’Oréal’s financial health and support growth across all divisions. Reporting to the designated manager, you will act as the key expert on credit risk, order‑to‑cash optimisation, and strategic partnership with commercial and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead weekly and monthly credit committee meetings with senior leadership, preparing minutes and highlighting aging risks.
• Apply the company’s Credit Scoring Model to assess risk, manage bad‑debt provisions, and set customer credit limits.
• Oversee credit insurance portfolios and negotiate adjustments with insurers.
• Control order blocking/unblocking based on overdue days, limit deviations, and risk classifications, providing weekly recommendations.
• Monitor aging reports, forecast collections, and ensure overdue balances stay within agreed terms.
• Reconcile invoices with payments and lead monthly reconciliation meetings with sales and key account teams.
• Calculate and report monthly credit KPIs, credit days, and communicate results to the zone.
• Manage customer claims, deductions, and onboarding documentation, including legal and financial checks.
• Execute the Dunning Procedure and maintain dual‑control verification on customer master data.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit risk management, collections, and order‑to‑cash processes.
• Strong analytical abilities with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Ability to work independently and make data‑driven decisions.
