Senior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will protect industrial control systems, SCADA, DCS and other OT environments from cyber threats. You will design, implement and monitor security controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor OT networks and industrial systems for threats and vulnerabilities.
• Implement and maintain security controls across SCADA, DCS, PLC and HMI environments.
• Perform threat detection, incident response and forensic investigations in OT.
• Manage OT SIEM integrations, firewalls, IDS/IPS and remote‑access solutions.
• Conduct risk assessments, gap analyses and develop remediation plans.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 62443, NIST 800‑82, ISO 27001 and other OT standards.
• Design secure network architectures, support segmentation and Zero‑Trust initiatives.
• Configure and maintain industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, DNP3, Profibus and Ethernet/IP.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7+ years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 2 years in OT/ICS environments.
• Hands‑on experience securing SCADA, DCS, PLC and industrial networks.
• Relevant certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, ISA/IEC 62443, GIAC or Cisco Security.

Required skills

• OT security tools: SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure remote access.
• Network segmentation, VLANs, routing & switching, Zero‑Trust concepts.
• Industrial protocols: Modbus, OPC, DNP3, Profibus, Ethernet/IP.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs.
• Risk assessment, compliance frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST 800‑82, ISO 27001).
• Experience with SCADA, DCS, PLC and HMI systems.
