Senior Data Engineer – Databricks Platforms

About the role

IBM Consulting is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, implementation and optimisation of Databricks‑based data and AI solutions for its clients. In this role you will work closely with client teams to translate business requirements into scalable, high‑performance data pipelines and analytics workloads on the Databricks platform.

Key responsibilities

• Implement data and AI use cases on Databricks, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Design, build and enhance the Databricks platform to meet evolving client needs.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their data and AI requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Support migration, deployment and management of data and AI applications in cloud environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience with Databricks platform implementation and enhancement.
• Strong background in data engineering principles, including data processing, storage and retrieval on cloud‑based platforms.
• Experience with cloud technologies and migration of data/AI workloads.
• Ability to work collaboratively with client stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
