Senior Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable, event‑driven data pipelines and robust data architecture for our clients. In this role you will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and ensure data solutions meet privacy and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and orchestration of modular, automated, event‑driven data engineering pipelines and data modeling approaches.
• Build quality‑by‑design into data engineering practices to enable a flexible, feature‑rich data architecture.
• Implement modern code development and orchestration strategies, including Infrastructure‑as‑Code, on Google Cloud.
• Coach and train junior data engineers, providing oversight on experiment design.
• Collaborate with third‑party partners and software providers to improve or implement new data solutions.
• Act as gatekeeper for customer data, ensuring compliance with data‑privacy standards in partnership with Data Governance.
• Work with Lead Data and ML Engineers to adopt DevOps and modern development practices across the data function.
• Partner with Quality, Software Engineering, and Systems teams to increase cross‑functional visibility and reduce technical debt.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing and operating large‑scale data pipelines and data warehouses.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior engineering talent.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Deep understanding of data privacy and governance best practices.
