Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and enhance our cloud platform on Google Cloud. You will design, automate, secure and operate scalable infrastructure that supports development and production workloads across our global VOIS organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimise cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Design, deploy, and support Kubernetes clusters and containerised applications.
• Build and enhance Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure delivery.
• Administer and support Linux‑based systems across cloud environments.
• Implement secure secrets management and access controls using Vault.
• Build and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Provide operational support across development, staging, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and platform issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to enhance automation, security, and reliability.
• Implement cloud security best practices, IAM controls, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives.
• Maintain documentation, operational runbooks, and platform standards.
• Support knowledge sharing and promote DevOps and platform engineering practices.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in cloud and DevOps engineering.
• Hands‑on delivery experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven experience managing production Kubernetes environments.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid background in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault or similar secrets‑management solutions.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
