Senior Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join DB-El Sewedy Railway Operation Egypt, the operator of Egypt’s first High Speed Rail network. Based in Cairo, you will support strategic and operational decisions through robust financial planning, reporting, and control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling activities.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, performance analyses, and management information for stakeholders.
• Monitor costs, revenues, budgets, and financial performance, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in coordination with finance and accounting teams.
• Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and controlling tools.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize business performance and costs.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders on financial matters.
• Promote continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field; MBA or professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial controlling, planning, budgeting or similar finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control and performance management.
• Understanding of compliance, internal controls and financial governance standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic.
