Senior Financial Reporting & Consolidation Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting & Consolidation Accountant to join a well‑known multinational organization in Cairo. The role will lead month‑end closing, financial reporting, and consolidation activities across multiple entities while ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial packages and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Perform trial balance analysis, reconcile variances, and produce position and inventory reports.
• Develop Fair Value (FAS 157/Mark‑to‑Market) evaluation reports and monthly positioning statements.
• Support SOX compliance, including control documentation, narratives, and walkthroughs.
• Maintain inventory pricing in the ACTIVE portal and Logman system.
• Prepare statutory reports such as Form 2A and coordinate internal/external audits.
• Lead the monthly financial closing process, consolidate sales data, and present results to senior management and board meetings.
• Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes, controls, and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, consolidation or controlling.
• Strong knowledge of month‑end closing, reconciliations, and consolidation procedures.
• Experience with SOX compliance and audit requirements.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Mark‑to‑Market (MTM) accounting and financial analysis.
