Senior Fraud Analyst

About the role

Waffanra is looking for a Senior Fraud Analyst to protect the business from fraud and financial loss. You will develop data‑driven prevention strategies while balancing risk mitigation, customer experience and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts and transactions to identify suspicious activity using advanced tools.
• Lead investigations of complex or high‑risk cases and produce detailed reports with recommendations.
• Analyze large data sets to detect trends, anomalies and emerging fraud patterns.
• Review and validate work of junior specialists to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Act as escalation point for challenging cases and support resolution of critical issues.
• Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Customer Support and Payments teams.
• Maintain thorough documentation of investigations, actions and outcomes.
• Contribute to fraud‑prevention strategy development and recommend process improvements.
• Support system enhancements, testing and implementation of new financial tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial operations, fraud analysis or similar role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication, collaboration and mentoring skills.
