Senior Lawyer – Corporate & Civil Litigation (Ain Sokhna)

About the role

The Senior Lawyer will support a large industrial organization in the fertilizer and chemical sector, providing expert legal counsel on corporate and civil matters. Based on‑site at the Ain Sokhna plant, the role ensures compliance, mitigates risk, and assists internal stakeholders with timely advice.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the company in judicial and governmental proceedings, handling corporate and civil litigation.
• Monitor and finalize legal and general assembly procedures with authorities such as GAFI, Civil Defense, and the Economic Zone Administration.
• Review, draft, and renew contracts to ensure legal compliance and alignment with business needs.
• Provide proactive legal advice on emerging risks, precedents, and regulatory changes.
• Prepare legal warnings, notices, and sanctions when required.
• Support compliance initiatives and participate in internal investigations.
• Maintain accurate legal documentation and uphold corporate governance standards.
• Coach and support junior legal team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in legal affairs, with solid exposure to corporate and civil litigation.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy‑industry environments is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and Arabic.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Expertise in contract drafting and legal documentation.
• Familiarity with governmental procedures and regulatory compliance in Egypt.
