Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Hikma is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Egypt operations. You will provide comprehensive legal support across the business, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safeguarding the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal contracts for internal and external parties.
• Provide legal opinions on matters affecting the company in Egypt and develop related policies and SOPs.
• Prepare corporate governance documents, file resolutions, and maintain the legal status of all Hikma entities with relevant authorities.
• Manage day‑to‑day departmental operations to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
• Interact with external legal advisors, ministries, and other stakeholders, following up on legal issues and cases.
• Supervise and coordinate litigation matters with external law firms and represent the company as needed.

Required profile

• Law degree and admission to practice law in Egypt.
• Significant experience in corporate law, contract negotiation, and litigation management.
• Strong knowledge of the Egyptian legal framework and corporate governance requirements.
• Proven ability to draft clear, enforceable legal documents and policies.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external authorities.
