Senior Legal Counsel – Real Estate

About the role

URBNLANES is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its growing Real Estate team. The role focuses on providing strategic legal support for all real‑estate related activities, ensuring compliance with Egyptian law and minimizing legal risk.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and manage contracts such as sales, purchase, construction, consultancy, vendor and service agreements.
• Advise on real‑estate transactions, property acquisitions and development projects.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Handle disputes, legal claims and coordinate litigation with external counsel.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks across business operations.
• Support internal departments with commercial and operational legal guidance.
• Monitor legislative changes affecting the real‑estate sector.
• Maintain legal documentation and oversee contract management processes.
• Represent the company before governmental authorities when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.); Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience, including at least 2 years in the real‑estate industry.
• Strong background in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
• Solid knowledge of Egyptian Real Estate Law, Civil Law, Commercial Law and Corporate Law.
• Experience dealing with governmental entities and regulatory authorities.
• Licensed to practice law is preferred.
