Senior Manager Learning & Development

About the role

The Senior Manager Learning & Development will drive business‑focused training initiatives for Mashreq Egypt, enhancing employee knowledge, technical competence and overall performance. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures that learning programmes align with the bank’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, organise and deliver structured orientation programmes for all new recruits, covering policies, organisational structure, products and services.
• Identify and analyse training needs across banking and finance functions, collaborating with line managers, guest speakers and external training providers.
• Develop and maintain quarterly training calendars, ensuring timely delivery of need‑based programmes.
• Prepare training materials, manuals and case studies, continuously improving delivery methods.
• Monitor individual Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and track completion of agreed training activities.
• Produce monthly L&D reports and keep abreast of banking developments to provide up‑to‑date learning content.

Required profile

• Management graduate with a recognised banking qualification.
• Minimum 7 years of banking experience, preferably in commercial banking.
• At least 3 years of experience in training design and delivery, either within Mashreq or externally.

Required skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in standard computer applications and software.
