Senior Manager - Strategic Workforce Planning & Org Effectiveness

About the role

Majid Al Futtaim Holding, a leading shopping mall, retail, communities and entertainment developer and operator in the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia, is looking for a Senior Manager for Strategic Workforce Planning and Organizational Effectiveness at its MAF Retail head office in Egypt. The role oversees the efficient implementation of strategic planning at country level across talent requirements, position and requisition creation, and projections and capability gap mapping, and ensures governance on the rollout of archetypes, staff cost management and productivity indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of the Strategic Workforce Planning agenda and initiatives across the country, aligning function objectives with the business and corporate structure.
• Drive the retail capabilities gap assessment project with the Capabilities and Talent Management Programs team to identify skills and competency gaps.
• Challenge and propose ideas to the corporate headquarters on Power BI headcount analytics, and deepen insights in headcount reporting.
• Provide governance on the archetype framework, overseeing and analysing new and existing roles.
• Keep HC systems data clean and up to date, coordinating additions, removals and maintenance with HC managers.
• Discuss hiring needs with the executive team and present them to the Country Manager regularly to obtain approval.
• Monitor monthly productivity scores and headcount changes, cascade them to HC managers and challenge business leaders on their productivity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management.
• 8+ years in a Strategic Workforce Planning managerial role in an international environment; 4+ years in retail preferred.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with proven ability to build strategic relationships with senior leadership.
• Ability to develop new ideas, process improvements and innovative solutions.
