Senior Permits Engineer

About the role

The Senior Permits Engineer will lead the acquisition and management of building permits and construction licenses for large‑scale projects. You will act as the primary liaison between project teams and government authorities to ensure timely approvals and compliance with Egyptian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Issue building permits and construction licenses for major projects.
• Follow up on project plans and license approvals with the New Communities City Authority and other governmental bodies.
• Review technical drawings and engineering documents to verify compliance with Egyptian Building Codes.
• Coordinate with internal design and site teams to gather all required documentation for permit applications.
• Track the status of submitted licenses and provide regular progress reports to project management.
• Maintain professional relationships with government officials to accelerate approval and inspection processes.
• Ensure permits are updated and renewed on schedule to avoid legal penalties or site closures.
• Resolve technical comments or objections raised by authorities regarding project licenses or plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in permits engineering and government relations within the construction industry.
• Deep knowledge of the Egyptian Unified Building Law and regulations of the New Communities City Authority.
• Proven track record of successfully issuing hundreds of permits for large‑scale residential projects.
• Strong communication skills with government authorities and technical teams.
