Senior Primary Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Primary Engineer to lead the design and documentation of high‑voltage substation projects. The role involves preparing technical specifications, reviewing scopes of work, and ensuring that all primary electrical systems meet quality and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare SPL and technical project documentation.
• Review project Scope of Work (SOW) and evaluate technical offers and detailed designs.
• Develop accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for primary electrical materials.
• Support tendering teams with technical evaluations and design alternatives.
• Perform grounding system calculations and design grid layouts.
• Create substation general layout drawings.
• Conduct lighting, shielding, power cable raceway, and control cable raceway calculations and designs.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure design quality and compliance.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.
• 5‑3 years of design experience with HV substations, including layout, equipment arrangement, cable raceways, earthing grids, and lightning protection.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record in similar project environments.
