Senior Production Manager

About the role

The Senior Production Manager reports directly to the Factory Manager and is responsible for overseeing all production activities, ensuring reliable and efficient manufacturing processes. This role leads the production team to meet quality standards while optimizing productivity and minimizing waste.

Key responsibilities

• Report daily production results and statistics to the Factory Manager.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the production department and its team.
• Plan, organize, and adjust production schedules to meet demand.
• Set and enforce quality standards for processes and output.
• Communicate issues affecting production to senior management.
• Balance productivity gains with cost reductions.
• Implement waste‑reduction initiatives to achieve minimal waste.
• Define productivity targets for each manufacturing team.
• Develop and refine workflow policies that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
• Organize and deliver relevant training sessions.
• Oversee the entire product line lifecycle.
• Allocate resources—materials, machines, consumables, and manpower—efficiently.
• Coordinate strategic production activities to minimize downtime.
• Make decisions on production schedule implementation and adjustments.
• Motivate, support, and guide production staff.
• Implement production tracking and quality‑control systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably cement or chemicals.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to manage large teams.
• Excellent multitasking, time‑management, and priority‑setting skills.
• Detailed knowledge of manufacturing operations.
• Very good command of English.
