Senior SharePoint Administrator

About the role

Dar, a global multidisciplinary consulting firm, is looking for an experienced Senior SharePoint Administrator to own the design, operation and optimisation of its Microsoft SharePoint multi‑farm environment. You will ensure the platform remains highly available, secure and performant while supporting a wide range of collaboration, intranet and document‑management solutions across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SharePoint Server farms (2016, 2019, Subscription Edition) and SharePoint Online, including web applications, service applications, site collections and content databases.
• Monitor platform health, capacity and performance; apply patches, cumulative updates and upgrades.
• Plan and execute migrations and upgrades from legacy farms.
• Manage Central Administration, IIS settings and hybrid integrations with Microsoft 365.
• Configure user permissions, groups, access policies and support business units in building sites, portals and document libraries.
• Implement governance, metadata, content types, retention policies and compliance controls.
• Enforce security hardening, integrate authentication with AD, Entra ID (Azure AD), ADFS or SSO, and oversee SSL certificates.
• Provide L2/L3 troubleshooting for search, workflow, performance, authentication, SQL connectivity and Windows Server issues.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience administering on‑premises SharePoint environments and SharePoint Online.
• Proven ability to manage large, multi‑farm architectures and hybrid scenarios.
• Strong understanding of security, backup/recovery, disaster‑recovery and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the capacity to support enterprise‑wide users.
