Senior Software Engineer

About the role

You will join Smart Eye’s production engineering team focused on automotive products. The role involves developing C++ code that enables vehicles to intelligently monitor the cabin, improving safety, personalization, and human‑vehicle interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise C++ software for the Automotive SDK used in production vehicles.
• Tune, customise, configure, build, test, deliver and support targeted SDK versions for various vehicle programs.
• Adapt software to customer‑specific hardware platforms and operating systems.
• Collaborate with teammates to roll out new AI‑driven features and assist where your skills fit.
• Review code, mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional C++ development experience.
• Strong background in Linux development and multi‑core programming.
• Proven ability to optimise code for size, memory and CPU utilisation.
• Basic understanding of machine learning and computer vision concepts.
• Experience delivering software for automotive production programs and familiarity with ASPICE, ISO 26262 and ASIL requirements is a plus.
