Senior Sous Chef

About the role

Swissotel Sharm El Sheikh is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to lead kitchen operations across its all‑inclusive resort. You will ensure high‑quality food preparation, uphold hygiene standards, and support the Food & Beverage Manager in delivering memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor duty schedules and ensure timely preparation for all meal services and banquet events.
• Conduct bi‑monthly presentations of new menu items, dishes, and service trends.
• Maintain strict kitchen hygiene, grooming standards, and uniform appearance for all staff.
• Evaluate team performance, drive promotions, and develop future chefs.
• Control food costs by reviewing requisitions, minimizing waste, and approving purchases.
• Oversee food safety, stock levels, expiry checks, and spot inspections.
• Handle guest complaints directly and ensure guest satisfaction in dining outlets.
• Collaborate on menu changes, food promotions, and special events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior kitchen leadership within a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong knowledge of local food safety legislation and best‑practice hygiene standards.
• Ability to manage large teams, conduct performance reviews, and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
