Senior Structure Engineer - Ras el Hekma

About the role

Innovo Group is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer based in Ras el Hekma, Cairo. The engineer reviews, designs, coordinates and supervises structural works so they comply with approved drawings, project specifications, codes, quality standards, safety requirements and project schedules. The role also coordinates with architectural, MEP, construction and technical office teams from design review through construction and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Review structural design calculations, drawings and specifications against building codes and project requirements
• Review structural systems, foundations, reinforced concrete elements and structural steel works, as applicable
• Check the adequacy of structural details, reinforcement, connections and construction methods
• Identify design discrepancies, technical risks and constructability issues and recommend solutions
• Review design changes and their technical and structural implications
• Support site engineers and construction teams, and ensure work follows approved shop drawings, method statements and inspection requirements
• Inspect sites and resolve technical issues on foundations, columns, beams, slabs, retaining walls and other elements
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and client representatives
• Review RFIs, technical submittals and proposed alternatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization or strong background in Structural Engineering
• 4-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a construction or contracting company
• Proven experience with reinforced concrete structures and, where applicable, structural steel
• Experience reviewing structural drawings, calculations, shop drawings and technical submissions
• Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, site teams and technical offices
• Preferred: experience in residential, commercial, industrial or mixed-use projects, and professional registration with the relevant engineering authority
