Senior Technical Office Engineer – Architecture

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Office Engineer specialized in architecture to lead the preparation and coordination of shop drawings and to support site engineers in resolving technical issues during construction.

Key responsibilities

• Implement technical office policies and procedures.
• Study contract documents, design drawings, BOQ and schedules.
• Prepare accurate shop and coordination drawings based on design documents.
• Coordinate with other trades to resolve conflicts between engineering disciplines.
• Maintain the shop‑drawing log and submit drawings for consultant approval.
• Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) for unclear or missing technical data.
• Review subcontractor and outsourced shop drawings and oversee their approval process.
• Collaborate with the Surveying Engineer to provide land coordinates and site measurements.
• Assist the Technical Office Manager in addressing unexpected technical difficulties.
• Produce as‑built drawings at project completion and hand them over to the consultant.
• Prepare material submittals for consultant review and ensure compliance with HSE policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a technical office environment within the construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of architectural shop drawing preparation and coordination.
• Ability to interpret contract documents, design drawings and BOQs.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for technical issues on site.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and risk assessment procedures.
