About the role
The Shopping Experience Assistant ensures smooth checkout operations and delivers high‑quality service to customers at the IKEA store in Cairo Festival City. As the front‑line representative, you will manage financial transactions accurately while maintaining a welcoming environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process payments by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers or automatic debits following standard operating procedures.
- Compute, record and reconcile all register transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Count and record the cash float at the start and end of each shift, safeguarding collected cash.
- Maintain clean, orderly checkout areas and ensure sufficient stock of printed stationery.
- Assist customers efficiently to minimise queues and address inquiries promptly.
- Uphold IKEA brand standards and store policies throughout the shift.
Required profile
- High school diploma (required); background in commerce or accounting is a plus.
- 1‑3 years of experience handling till transactions in a retail environment.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations.
Required skills
- Computer use for operating point‑of‑sale systems.
